Mounting the Meraki MR46E with MA-MNT-ANT-3 External Antenna
As technical professionals, we often encounter challenges when it comes to installing and mounting wireless access points in industrial settings. Recently, we encountered an issue when trying to mount the traditional Meraki MR46E with an MA-MNT-ANT-3 external antenna in our warehouse.
The problem we faced was that the steel I-beams in our warehouse were too narrow to support the mounting brackets that came with the wireless access point. In order to get the access point mounted properly, we had to get creative.
We ended up fabricating a small piece of plywood to act as a mounting platform for the access point and antenna. We fixed L brackets to the plywood, which were then mounted to the steel I-beams using bolts.
This solution worked well and allowed us to properly mount the Meraki MR46E with the external antenna, ensuring optimal wireless coverage in our warehouse.
While this was just one example of the challenges we have faced when installing and mounting wireless access points in industrial settings, it serves as a reminder of the importance of being resourceful and finding creative solutions to problems. As technical professionals, it is essential to have a flexible mindset and the ability to think on our feet in order to get the job done.
