After a storm my mower was disconnected in the app and hadn’t checked in for 8 hours.
- Investigated and found no power to the dock (green light off)
- Opened the mower and it stated CHARGING, persistent. On or off the charger, close or far
- Two screws noted in image.
- Dock had no light, reviewed wires and everything looked good.
- Replaced dock PSU, fixed dock power, but now says NO LOOP on the mower (when it doesn’t say charging).
- Opened dock and found burnt chip, RMA board and replaced. CHARGING persisted, all other errors gone.
- Mower diagnostics confirm that the daughter board was stuck booting. The main board booted just fine, allowing configurations, firmware updates, and other configurations. Seemingly everything was working except the mower said CHARGING and wouldn’t run. Factory reset multiple times.
- Confirmed that both the main and daughter board should be RMA for replacement.
Takeaways:
- Install surge protector for charging station
- Have power surge protection (and ground)
- Have warranty/support coverage and a local service tech
